We had a great time visiting Catherine’s Landing (www.catherineslanding.com) in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The folks there are super friendly and it’s by far one of the best campgrounds I have ever visited. Jim put us up in a Yurt, which is a permanent round tent with a skylight. Staying in these is referred to as “glamping” you can even pick up a iGlamp shirt if you want. The one we had can sleep 12 comfortably with heat and air conditioning. When we arrived Saturday we ate some tasty BBQ at Smokin’ in Style (www.smokininstyle.com) and then headed out the Superlift Off Road Vehicle Park (www.orvpark.com) for some Jeep trail running. Yes, we earned a stinking Badge of Honor from Jeep for the Snake Trail too. We broke in the 2014 Jeep Rubicon properly and didn’t get a scratch…LOL. You can see the pics from that trip in the gallery. Saturday afternoon we toured the zip line canopy course that is set to open in March, wow, that’s all I can say. These folks have really put together a fantastic tour that is well built. That evening it was cool and we roasted hot dogs and brats over the fire and later the kiddos made Smores. Catherine’s Landing in Hot Springs is located on beautiful Lake Catherine and will be a great place for us to have some Veteran Family Adventure Trips. Hot Springs has a lot to offer for adventure, Off road tours, fishing, hiking, zip lines, kayaking and tons more.
We are taking donations now to help sponsor a family for our trip to Catherine’s Landing this Spring!! Tell you friends about us and like us on Facebook.
